« The message », translated by Georges Mills
Voici une belle traduction en anglais de mon « message ».
The Message
Hear, man, what I have to say to you.
Cease your thrumming pursuits,
Call a halt on your pathway.
The moment for you to rise up is approaching,
To leave your den, to look beyond your house.
Among the stars, amid the glowing celestial bodies lies your destiny.
It is time for you to examine your inner being,
Time for you to dream, time for you to pray
Before the caravan moves on.
Listen.

Creation is a work well beyond your ken.
You glimpse its magnitude only within the limits of your understanding.
It lies within a Universe of knowledge far superior to your own.
Your very conception of Me is limited by your capabilities
And these are feeble; among so many others more imposing,
The reasoning of which you are so proud
Is a mere ripple on the surface of what has been created.
Accept these limitations before taking the first step on your way,
And now lend me your ear.
*
I am beyond all creatures’ perception
Since I am the Creator and the created Universe.
I am the All and the Nothing,
Time and Matter,
Light and Dark,
Good and Evil,
Hope and Despair.
I am My own purpose, which shall for ever remain beyond your ken;
All this I am and more.
You ask where you stand in this immensity,
You want to know why you are here and I shall tell you.
Reasoning brings Creation to self-awareness, even though it has no need of it.
Your knowledge enables you to name all that moves,
The bird to fly, the fauna to devour, the flower to smile.
Your questions are the beams that support My dwelling place.
1Your eyes are its windows; your happiness, its roof; your doubts, its chimney
Through which your pleas that disquiet the worlds escape
And such disquiet rises up to Me, who am here and elsewhere,
Absorbed in My works that encompass you, you and all else…
You want to know why Evil exists, why Suffering?
I created Evil that you should sense the greatness of Good;
I created Suffering that you should take the measure of Joy.
Had you not this knowledge, you would be as an animal
That lives and acts without knowing what it does.
Your calling is to choose your way, to choose in the light of your conscience,
Since I have given you this redoubtable faculty.
But, by raising you to this degree of awareness,
I have given you a mere glimpse of the world order,
Creation being an intensely self-reflecting work.
At all times it questions itself; were it not so it would never be complete.
And what would such completion achieve, other than a denial of Myself
Who am the Beginning and the End of all things?
In this perpetual gestation of which you are part
It behoves you to give matter a meaning.
You say to Me: What is the point of Goodness and, above all, does it exist?
Goodness is what makes for the beauty of worlds;
Its radiance dazzles you yet does not blind you;
Its presence upholds the edifice that converges towards Me.
Dare not destroy the House I entrusted to you
Else it fall on your head;
Do not allow yourself to be deceived by appearances:
Nothing that endures exists that does not serve Beauty.
Your role is to contribute towards this end with all the strength I have given you.
Now listen to me furthermore.

In bygone days, at different stages,
My Prophets came to this earth.
What they said was consistent with the ability of each to grasp.
Their mission was to open the way for the people of those times.
And they accomplished this mission at the peril of their lives
With humility, yet with vigour.
You shall honour them as you honour your parents.
You shall admire them as you admire the oak tree in the face of the wind.
You shall apply yourself to their teachings
With the veneration that you hold for the flower in its fleeting perfection.
But after this, you shall look forward
For times have changed and great transformations are afoot.
2Though you must honour the past, you must equally light up the path of
all who shall succeed you.
When the time comes for you to soar,
Look at Creation, contemplate Me through My Works.
The Universe is even more beautiful than you imagine. All within it is admirable;
The burning stars are lovely but lovely too is created flesh.
Celebrate my works in the manner they deserve
If you do not wish it to render to you the evil that you will have done to it.
Respect yourself if you do not want to destroy yourself.
The suffering that you inflict on My creatures, you inflict on Me.
And now, listen to Me one last tim

People of Prayer are the pedestal of the world.
Through the constance of their repetitions, they steer it in the right direction.
By elevating themselves towards Me, they elevate their fellow humans.
By renouncing the vanities of their times
They redeem the shortcomings that surround them.
Without them, My face would darken and dark would be My wrath
Because the evil that you did, you did it knowingly.
You cannot plead the innocence of stones;
You must face up to the truth by your own volition.
Honour hermits of all religions!
Pensive grains of sand on the dune of impermanence,
May the flow of their invocations never cease,
Since I am also what you expect of Me.
I render you the love you freely give Me.
I watch over you in accordance with your meditations.
The light you shine on Me, I give back to you.
By upholding Goodness, you incline My will in your favour.
By mounting the steps of knowledge,
You cause Me to know you better.
You shall never be able to fathom the depth of My silences.
Solving a mystery will open up another…
Yet, without the diversity of minds who seek to define Me,
I would remain immersed in My own meditation.
Come closer to Me, that I may see you better.
Love My creatures, because I have made them in My image,
Below Me, yet within Me.
Be modest in your accomplishments
Yet steadfast in your will to progress towards the horizon.
Do not forget your origins, without which you would be nothing.
And look now heavenwards.
